In addition to concerts and public occasions, Los Changuitos Feos can be scheduled for weddings, birthdays, receptions, serenades, and other events.

 All donations contribute to college scholarship funds for graduating Changuitos. Please help us send these kids to college by scheduling a private performance.

World Class Mariachi Experience

We are proud of our performances over the 41 year history of the Mariachi group. In recent history of Los Changuitos Feos, accomplishments include the following showcase performances and accolades.

Los Changuitos participated in the Las Cruces 12th Annual International Mariachi Conferences in November 2005.  

Los Changuitos celebrated it’s 40 Years Of Tradition and Culture on October , 2004 at the Casino del Sol AVA Theatre. Alumni and noted celebrants including Lalo Guerrero and  Mariachi Cobre  (40th Anniversary Event Highlights ).

The Legislature of the State of Arizona passed a House Concurrent Resolution #2005, 

“ … the Legislature congratulates Los Changuitos Feos de Tucson for its many contributions to the Youth of Pima County and recognize its current and past members for their outstanding contributions to their community’s cultural enrichment…”

In April 2004, the group was given a chance to perform at the Tucson International Mariachi Conference Especatcular Concert. They performed on-stage with Mariachi Cobre and received a Mariachi Hall of Fame Award.

 In the 2002 Tucson International Mariachi Conference and Las Cruces Mariachi Conference;

Featured performance at Mariachi Mágico, Conferencia Internacional del Mariachi at Desert Sky Pavilion in Phoenix;

Winning first prize in the First Annual Mariachi Competition in Nogales, Arizona;

Participating in the Sixth Annual Las Cruces Mariachi Conference, where the group placed second out of over eighty groups auditioning for the Showcase competition;

Earning the Pioneer Award in the Annual Festival of Lights parade in downtown Tucson;

and producing and selling the group's 35^th and 40^th Anniversaries DVD and CD recordings.

Los Changuitos Feos de Tucson is a youth mariachi group whose multiple purposes are to provide creative and wholesome activity for its members; to develop members' artistic talent and social maturity; to instill in members self esteem and pride in music, language and culture; to develop a sense of community; to promote the City of Tucson; to entertain and bring joy of spirit to others; and to provide college scholarship support to graduating members.
